Pottery Spoon Holder to rest your spoon when cooking or your tea bag when making a cuppa.

The pottery spoon rest is made on my potter’s wheel using warm white stoneware clay. Once the basic shape of the spoon holder is thrown, I create the spiral design on its base as the wheel turns slowly and then the spout is formed. When the spoon holder is dried to leather hard, the MadeByPowley stamp is pressed into the bottom of the piece. After the spoon rest is completely dried, it is fired in the kiln to 1000 degrees Celsius. The pottery piece is ready to glaze and return to the kiln for its final firing to 1200 degrees Celsius.
