Ceramic Oil Bottle, pottery oil bottle with spout, handmade vinegar bottle, cooking oil dispenser, ceramic vinegar bottle with spout.

The ceramic oil bottle is created on my potter's wheel on the south coast of Dorset, England, using stoneware clay. When the bottle has dried to leather hard, I press my MadeByPowley stamp at the base of the bottle and then create the texture. The bottle is then left to dry before it is placed in the kiln for the first firing, the bisque firing which reaches the temperature of 1050 degrees Celcius. The ceramic oil / vinegar bottle is removed from the kiln and is covered using a glaze of blues. I brush charcoal underglaze into my MadeByPowley stamp and then remove the excess glaze with a damp sponge. The piece is now ready for the final firing (the high fire to 1240 degrees Celcius). 3 days later, the kiln has cooled sufficiently to safely open it. So happy to see and feel the pottery oil bottle. Filled with joy!!

Blues and Greens Oil Bottle

Approximate height (not including the spout) : 14.5 cm
Approximate capacity: 370 ml

Please do not overfill the bottle. There needs to be an air gap between the spout and the oil when filling.

To remove the spot, hold the black silicone and wiggle it out. Before refilling the bottle, wash the spout with soapy, warm water.

If a ceramic piece is filled with liquid, it should not be placed directly on a wood surface for prolonged periods. Please use a coaster to protect your wood. This applies to handmade and factory-made ceramics.

Every piece is handmade so there may be slight variances because more than 1 of this item may be available.
