The pottery espresso cups are covered in candyfloss pink glaze.

The mugs are hand-thrown on my potter's wheel on the south coast of Dorset. When the mug has dried for a day, it is carved to create a texture near the base of the cup. A handle is then pulled from a lump of clay and attached to the mug. At the bottom of the handle, the MadeByPowley stamp is pressed into the clay. When it is bone dry, the mug is loaded into the kiln for its first firing - the bisque firing - which reaches 1050 degrees Celcius. The mug is then ready to glaze. After glazing, it then returns to the kiln for its final high firing that reaches 1240 degrees Celcius.
