The Pottery Mug in Green and Brown with texture is carved on the outside. This cup is thrown on my potter’s wheel in my MadeByPowley studio on the south coast of England. The stripes are carved on the mug by using a grapefruit knife. The handle is created by hand and then attached to the mug. The MadeByPowley stamp is pressed into the base of the handle. After drying, it is loaded into the kiln for its first firing. This firing is followed by the glazing of the piece and then its final high firing.
